Our Founder’s Journey
Our story begins with Manesh, a banker whose life took an unexpected turn towards his deep love for Sri Lankan cuisine and authentic flavors. He found his passion in exploring the essence of traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Krishani, our co-director, shares this same vision. From the very start, she has been an integral part of every step, bringing her dedication and insight to help shape Ceylan Foods into what it is today.
Driven by his love for Sri Lankan food, Manesh embarked on a journey through the lush hills of Ceylon, visiting remote tea estates and local markets. Along the way, he uncovered the rich and deep heritage of Sri Lanka’s tea culture and traditional products. This journey inspired the birth of Ceylan Foods, with the mission to bring the authentic, yet often underrated, flavors of Sri Lanka to the world.
Together, Manesh and Krishani are committed to delivering the highest-quality products—organic, certified, and vegan—ensuring that people everywhere can experience the true taste of Sri Lanka. Through Ceylan Foods, they aim to make these healthy and unique flavors easily accessible, celebrating Sri Lanka’s culinary heritage on a global stage.
